TGCL Panel Discussion: Boosting the Intra-EAC Trade in the AI Era: Law and Practice

The Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL) announces its First Public Panel Discussion under the 2026 project theme:
“Regional Integration as a Vehicle for Implementing a Pan-African Architecture for AI Governance in Tanzania.”
The panel will explore the timely and forward-looking topic:
“Revisiting the Law and Practice on Boosting Intra-EAC Trade amid the 4th Industrial Era of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Evolution.”
We are honored to welcome Prof. John Eudes Ruhangisa as Keynote Presenter – a distinguished Tanzanian legal scholar, former Judge of the High Court of Tanzania, Founding Registrar of the East African Court of Justice (EACJ), and Associate Professor at Tumaini University Makumira.
The event takes place on Friday, 17.04.2026 in the University of Dar es Salaam, School of Law Boardroom and via Zoom (Meeting ID: 875 1051 2396; Passcode: 405440), from 10:00-13:00 Tanzanian Time / 09:00-12:00 German Time.
