Einfaches Seminar Summer Semester 2026

The Chair of African Legal Studies invites students to participate in an engaging Seminar on Key Issues in African Law. This seminar will explore key legal topics such as human rights (including business and human rights), land, environment and development rights, African-European relations, power and solidarity in Public International Law and more.
Timelines:
Kick-Off: 08 May 2026, 10:00-14:00, FZA, S 145/146
Intermediate Meeting: 12 June 2026, 10:00-14:00, FZA, S 147
Submission of Papers: 03 July 2026 (Digital submission via e-learning)
Final Presentation: 17 July 2026, 10:00-16:00, FZA, S 147
This seminar is open to students without prior knowledge of the specific legal topics and is particularly suited for students in the early stages of their academic journey.
Registration: Please register by sending us your name, semester, study programme, faculty, matriculation number and your desired topic to: Grace.Nafula-Sitati@uni-bayreuth.de and Philipp.Bogensperger@uni-bayreuth.de by 01 April 2026. However, the final topic allocation will take place on the Kick-Off Day. After the allocation of topics, students are bindingly registered for the seminar on CMLife.
