Announcing our curriculum for the Summer Semester 2020

28.03.2020

Dear students,

We hope you are all doing well and keeping up in this difficult and unfamiliar situation. You might be
wondering how the next semester will fold out, since we only have one month until our scheduled
start. We would therefore like to inform you about the following issues:

1. At the moment, the ministerial order to discontinue teaching operations remains in place until 19
April 2020. It is not clear at the moment whether the teaching period will commence in its regular
format from 20 April 2020.

2. Consequently, we would like to inform you that the courses “Family Law in Selected African
Countries” and “Kleines Seminar: African Legal Studies” will take place via a digital format until we
resume classroom teaching. The fixed dates and structure of all courses and events remain the same.
Further details relating to delivery and other arrangements will be announced in due course via mail
and Campus Online. Feel free to contact us via mail (africanlegalstudies@uni-bayreuth.de) for further
questions.

3. Additionally, we offer digital open hours every Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. beginning on 08 April 2020.
Please register with africanlegalstudies@uni-bayreuth.de one day ahead and let us know how we can
assist you.

We are looking forward to the next semester despite all the ambiguities.
